Kalib Boone scored the first two points of the game at the free throw line for the Cowboys, the third time this season Boone has opened the scoring for OSU.

Oklahoma State took an 8-0 lead three minutes into the contest behind two forced turnovers that turned into four Cowboy points.

The Cowboys continued the hot start, taking a 21-5 lead with 12:00 left in the first half thanks to stellar defensive play. DePaul started the game 2-for-11 from the field and 0-for-4 from three-point range and turned the ball over four times.

OSU continued to attack the rim and get easy buckets early, making 12 of its first 18 shots of the game with 16 points coming inside the paint.

The Blue Demons made four-straight field goals to cut the lead to 31-19 with 7:30 remaining in the first half, but the Cowboy offense continued to get whatever it wanted, scoring on 15 of its first 20 possessions of the game.

The Cowboys took an eight-point lead into the halftime break, 44-36. OSU shot 57 percent from the floor, made 11 of 14 free throws and were led by Kalib Boone with 10 points.

DePaul fought its way back into the game early in the second half, cutting the eight-point deficit down to just two points multiple times, but the Cowboy offense kept attacking to give them a 66-60 lead with 9:00 to play.

After DePaul missed a corner three to take the lead with :05 remaining, John-Michael Wright iced the game with two made free-throws to give the Cowboys a four-point lead and the victory.
