Cowgirl Equestrian Handles Bridgewater College

AUBURN, Ala. – Oklahoma State Equestrian defeated Bridgewater College, 7-1, Thursday in the first of the Cowgirls' two meets in Auburn, Alabama, this week.
The meet only included Jumping Seat events and was limited to four riders per event as opposed to the typical five.
The win improves the Cowgirls to 2-0 all-time against Bridgewater dating back to last season when they also won, 7-1.
"It was a great day to be a Cowgirl!" Oklahoma State Jumping Seat assistant coach Carter Anderson said. "We had some new faces in the arena today that really stepped up and delivered. I am looking forward to tomorrow! They are ready to compete and end our fall season on a high note."
The meet began with Flat, in which the Cowgirls completed a clean 4-0 sweep. Ella Reinauer earned the first point with a 76-65 victory, giving her three-straight wins after starting the year 0-2. Hannah Coleman followed that with an 83-72 win to earn MOP honors for the first time this season and third time in her career. Rounding out the Flat sweep were two riders making their Cowgirl debuts as junior Elizabeth Carter earned a 75-71 win and Mackenzie Carreras won 75-72 to earn the final Flat point.
The second half of the meet consisted of Fences. Bridgewater claimed its only point of the meet with Caroline Warren besting OSU's Hope King, 76-75. The Cowgirls would respond by claiming the final three Fences points. Grace McReynolds continued her impressive start to the year, winning 79-78 to improve to 4-1. Sydney North got a 77-73 win, giving her back-to-back wins, before Riley Hogan earned an 80-74 win to remain undefeated on the season and earn her first MOP of the season and second of her career.
Oklahoma State will take on third-ranked Auburn on Friday in what will be its final meet of the fall.
