Kalib Boone scored the first five points of the game for the Cowboys, including a three-point play on a foul, to begin the scoring. It marked the second time this season he has scored the first points of the game for OSU.Â

Oakland took an early 6-5 lead, but the Cowboys used their length to clamp down defensively, going on a 10-0 run to give the Cowboys a 15-6 lead heading into the first media timeout. The OSU defense held Oakland to 0-for-6 from the field, including 0-for-4 from beyond the arc during the run.

Oklahoma State held Oakland scoreless for nearly six minutes in the first half during its scoring run.Â

OSU ended the first half on a 11-3 run, capped off by a John-Michael Wright three-pointer with five seconds remaining to give the Cowboys a 42-27 lead at halftime.Â

After Oakland scored the first six points of the second half to cut the lead to nine, OSU bounced back with a 9-0 run itself to extend its lead to 51-33.

OSU continued that run with four more points before Oakland scored its first bucket in more than four minutes.

The Cowboys stretched the lead to 28 points, their largest of the season, with 8:00 remaining behind five made three-pointers, including back-to-back threes from Chris Harris Jr.

OSU's offensive onslaught continued throughout the second half, making eight-straight field goals to extend the lead to 83-48 with 3:00 remaining.

Oklahoma State took the lead with 16:00 remaining in the first half and never surrendered the lead the rest of the game. Â

The Cowboy's offense came out firing early, scoring 42 first-half points, their most since scoring 45 against the Florida Gators in January 2022.

Avery Anderson III tied his career high with seven assists in the contest. The only other time he has reached the number was against Kansas State in February 2022.

Chris Harris Jr. made his first field goal in a Cowboy uniform since November 2020 with a three-pointer in the first half. Harris missed the previous two seasons due to injury. Harris finished the game with nine points, his most since he scored 10 points against Georgetown in 2019.Â

The Cowboys shot 52 percent from beyond the arc, the first time since Nov. 22, 2021, the Cowboys have surpassed the 50 percent mark from three-point range.

The Cowboys 29-point win marks the first time since Nov. 25, 2013, against South Florida that the Cowboys won by 20 or more points in a non-conference road game.Â
