Series History: OSU and TCU Meet as Only Undefeated Big 12 Teams
October 13, 2022 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER - Only one team in the Big 12 will remain undefeated after No. 8 Oklahoma State and No. 13 TCU square off on Saturday in Fort Worth.
As the last two unbeaten teams in the conference, Saturday's matchup will determine which team takes sole possession of first place and sits in the drivers seat to the Big 12 Championship game.Â
Saturday's game marks the 33rd meeting of the two teams, with the series dating to 1915. This season marks the 11th consecutive meeting between the teams, starting when TCU joined the Big 12 in the 2012 season. OSU owns a 17-13-2 lead in the all-time series record, although the series has been nearly even since the Horned Frogs joined the conference.Â
Last season, OSU routed TCU 63-17 behind a dominant rushing attack that racked up 452 yards and eight touchdowns among nine players on the ground. However, the Pokes have struggled in Amon G. Carter Stadium, not having won there since 2016, while TCU holds an 8-5-2 overall advantage in Fort Worth.
              Â
Mike Gundy is 6-4 in his career against the Horned Frogs and will face the first-year head coach of TCU, Sonny Dykes, for the first time. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and will be televised on ABC.Â
