Game Flow

Kansas was able to jump out to a 24-13 lead midway through the first half following an 8-0 run.
Oklahoma State's defense locked down and did not allow the Jayhawk offense to score for the final 9:12 of the first half. This enabled a 14-0 run for the Cowboys to tie the game at 29 at the break.
Despite the ending to the first half, Kansas found its legs again with a 7-0 run to retain a 10-point lead after the second media timeout of the second half.

Game Notes

Oklahoma State was able to tie its longest scoring run of the season at 16-0 (end of first half and start of second half) thanks to the defense holding Kansas to 0-of-20 shooting to end the first half.
Isaac Likekele recorded the fourth double-double of his career with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
The Cowboy defense was able to hold the Kansas offense to 43 percent shooting from the field and 74 points. Prior to the game the Jayhawks were third in the country in field goal percentage at 51.4 percent and ninth in scoring offense at 85.2 points per game.
