Game Flow
- The Longhorns came out and found instant success on the offensive side of the ball as they connected on four of their first six shots en route to an 13-0 start to the game.
- Â The Cowboys combatted the early Texas run with a 16-0 run of their own to take a 16-13 lead with 6 minutes to play in the first half. OSU maintained its lead for the remainder of the half to go into the break up 27-25.
- The low-scoring affair continued in the second half but the Longhorns were able to gain some distance with an 11-3 run to give themselves a 48-39 lead with less than 5 minutes to play.
- OSU fought their way back into the game and cut it to three with 23 seconds left, but Texas held on to win the game 56-51.
- During Oklahoma State's first half run it held Texas scoreless for more than 10 minutes and forced it into eight turnovers.
- The 16-0 run also tied the Cowboys season-high for largest scoring run. The last time They did this was January 4, 2022 vs. Kansas.
- Bryce Thompson reached double-figure scoring for the fourth-straight game. His 20 points marked a new career high after scoring 19 in the win over No. 1 Baylor earlier in the year.Â
- Rondel Walker tallied six steals for a new career-high. His previous career-high was four, which he had done three times with the last being against Prairie View A&M on November 14, 2021.Â
- Walker's six steals were also the fourth most in any game in school history and was the 31st time a Cowboy had recorded six steals in a game.
- Isaac Likekele recorded his 397th career assist to tie Andre Owens for seventh on the Oklahoma State's all-time assists list.
- Keylan Boone earned his first start of the season when head coach Mike Boynton went with the starting lineup of Avery Anderson III, Bryce Thompson, Isaac Likekele, Keylan Boone, and Moussa Cisse.
- Saturday's contest against No. 23 Texas was the eighth-straight game OSU has faced a team that was either ranked in the AP's top-25 poll or was receiving votes.Â
- Oklahoma State forced its second-straight Big 12 foe into 20 or more turnovers in a game after doing so against TCU on Wednesday and Texas on Saturday.Â
- OSU has forced at least 10 turnovers 147 times under Mike Boynton. The Cowboys have also completed this feat in every game this season and in 13 of their last 17 they have forced their opponents into 15 or more turnovers.
- OSU has made at least one three-pointer in 715 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 13, 2001, which is the 24th longest current streak in college basketball.Â
