Cowgirl Soccer Adds Prep Standout

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has inked another player to its 2022 recruiting class in Xcaret Pineda.
A midfielder from Bolingbrook, Illinois, Pineda will join a group of seven incoming freshmen and four Division I transfers on the Cowgirls' 2022 roster.
Pineda stars for Eclipse Select ECNL and was named a Midwest U-17 First-Team All-Conference performer in 2021. She was also a member of the United States U-19 Women's National Team Virtual Camp roster last April.
Listed as a four-star recruit by TopDrawerSoccer.com, Pineda is No. 98 on the IMG Academy 150. She ranks as the No. 5 recruit in the Midwest Region and is 30th nationally among midfielder recruits.
"We're very excited to add Xcaret to our recruiting class," said OSU head coach Colin Carmichael. "She's a very, very skillful attacking center midfielder who can create chances for teammates and score goals and is really good is possession. She also has the size and strength to compete in the Big 12, and she has a chance to come in and have an impact on our program immediately."
