- Although the game was tied at 12-12 at the midway point of the first half, West Virginia quickly took a six-point lead after hitting two quick threes.
- Following a scoring drought, OSU found itself down 34-23 to the Mountaineers at the break.
- Fueled by Isaac Likekele, the Cowboys were able to go on a 9-0 run to bring the game within seven with under 8 minutes to play.
- Despite clawing their way back into the game, the Cowboy Comeback fell short as OSU found themselves facing a 70-60 deficit at the final buzzer.

- Isaac Likekele recorded his 146th career steal which moved him up to 14th all-time, passing assistant coach Keiton Page, on Oklahoma State's career steals list. It was the third time this year he recorded three or more steals in a game.
- He also scored seven of the nine points during Oklahoma State's second half run to get into double figures for the second time in his last three games.
- Likekele scored all his 11 points in the second half.
- Bryce Williams finished with 12 points. It marked the second-straight game he scored 10 or more points and was the fifth time in his last six games he'd done so.
- Avery Anderson III record a season-high seven rebounds. It was the second-straight game he recorded atleast six rebounds and led the team on the boards
- Head Coach Mike Boynton went with the same starting lineup from Saturday's upset over No. 14 Texas with Anderson III, Bryce Williams, Bryce Thompson, Isaac Likekele, and Moussa Cisse.
