Former Cowgirl Soccer Star Shines Post-Graduation

Courtney Dike was a prolific scorer at Oklahoma State from 2013-16, scoring 31 career goals to rank fourth all time in program history, and also shined as a standout in the classroom, where she earned bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting
Today, Dike is using the qualities and experiences learned as a Cowgirl in her job as a CPA with Ernst & Young, one of the Big Four accounting firms.
"Being a student-athlete at OSU definitely instilled a lot of qualities in me that not only opened doors for me after graduation, but translated well into my professional career now," Dike said. "The dedication, perseverance and prioritization that comes along with being a student-athlete are a few of those qualities."
Dike was a key player for the Cowgirls throughout her four-year career in Stillwater. She was a four-time All-Big 12 performer, one of only four players in program history to achieve that feat. In 2016, Dike was honored as the Big 12 Co-Offensive Player of the Year and named to the All-Big 12 First Team.
One of the top offensive players in OSU history, Dike twice led the Cowgirls in goals, scoring 13 in 2013 and 10 in 2016. And she was not just a goal scorer – she also led the team in assists for three years and ranks in the top 10 all time in program history in that category.
Fueled by her standout performances for the Cowgirls, Dike made her way through the Nigeria national team system and made history when she competed for Nigeria in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. She earned two caps at the World Cup, including starting against the eventual champion United States, becoming the first-ever Cowgirl and Oklahoman to play in a Women's World Cup.
After graduating from OSU, Dike joined Ernst & Young and is currently living and working in New York City, where she is in her fourth year as a Senior Forensic Consultant, a job that entails financial investigations, cost recovery and federal disaster grant reimbursement consulting.
Dike considers her time at OSU invaluable as a springboard to her success post-graduation.
"There are a ton of people in Stillwater who influenced me on-and-off the field, academically and in my personal life, that I will never forget," Dike said. "My experience at OSU is something that I'm always grateful for, and I'll be able to carry it with me wherever I go."
