Cowgirl Soccer Duo Tabbed Best In Big 12

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State had a pair of players earn conference weekly awards for Week 2 as Grace Yochum was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week and Evie Vitali collected Big 12 Freshman of the Week accolades.
Yochum continued her climb in the OSU record book and contributed on two of the Cowgirls' three goals in a pair of wins last week.
The senior recorded an assist on OSU's first goal in a 2-0 win at Oklahoma, then scored the lone goal of the match in a victory over Wright State.
Yochum's goal against WSU was her third of the season, tied for the most in the Big 12 this season, and also marked the 30th of her career to move her into fifth on OSU's all-time goals scored list.
Vitali continued her standout play at goalkeeper as she posted a pair of shutouts and seven saves in the two games.
A native of Overland Park, Kan., Vitali tallied three saves against the Sooners and followed that with her fourth four-save performance of the season in the match against Wright State.
Vitali is tied for the NCAA lead with three shutouts on the season, and her 15 saves are tied for second in the Big 12.
