Carter Named to Academic All-America Team

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's Logan Carter was honored Monday as part of the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-America® NCAA Division I Football Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Carter's selection to the second team gives Oklahoma State 23 CoSIDA Academic All-America honors all-time, including eight in the past eight seasons. OSU football has received six Academic All-America honors in the past four seasons, a mark that ties Stanford and Minnesota for the most in the FBS during that time span.
A graduate student who carries a 3.72 grade point average in health care administration, Carter adds the award to a long list of academic honors that includes four first-team Academic All-Big 12 selections and recognition as a 2020 William V. Campbell Trophy semifinalist.
Beginning his career as a 2016 walk-on before earning a scholarship in 2019, Carter has been important for the Cowboys on the field as well. He has played in 43 games and scored three touchdowns in his career, playing a key role on special teams and on offense as one of OSU's Cowboy backs. He was honored as OSU's outstanding walk-on in 2018 and was named a 2020 honorable mention to the All-Big 12 team by the league's head coaches.
