Cowgirls Add North Texas Transfer N'Yah Boyd

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has signed N'Yah Boyd to a financial aid agreement it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Jim Littell.
"We are extremely excited to add N'Yah to the Cowgirl family," Littell said. "She is talented, athletic and has a great understanding of the game. Her ability to get to the rim and create for herself and her teammates makes her a special addition to our program."
A 5-6 guard from Mesquite, Texas, Boyd started all 20 contests for North Texas this past season and was the squad's second-leading scorer at 11.7 points per game.
Boyd dished out a team-best 73 assists and tallied 28 steals and grabbed 2.9 rebounds per contest during her sophomore campaign as well.
The Horn High School product delivered one of her best performances of the year against the Cowgirls in Denton. She hit seven of her 15 shots from the floor on her way to a 20-point outing. She also grabbed four rebounds to go with five assists and two steals in that Dec. 22 contest. Boyd was named the Conference USA Player of the Week for her effort.
During the 2019-20 campaign she played in all 31 of the Mean Green's games, starting 19 times. She averaged 9.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.2 steals per contest. Her 94 assists led the squad as well.
