ORLANDO, Fla. – Bunyawi Thamchaiwat of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team wrapped up her season at the individual NCAA Championship on Tuesday afternoon.
"I am very proud of the season Bunyawi had," OSU head coach Chris Young said. "To be the Big 12 Player of the Year and an All-American is special. She always represented us in the right way on and off the court. Her legacy as a Cowgirl is significant and I enjoyed watching her compete and I look forward to what the future holds for her."
In singles action, Thamchaiwat came up short in a match against North Carolina State's sixth-ranked Anna Rogers. The 26th-ranked Cowgirl fell, 7-5, 4-6, 1-6.
Thamchaiwat finishes the season with a 12-2 dual play record and became the second player in program history to be crowned as the Big 12 Player of the Year.
Thamchaiwat became the eighth Cowgirl All-American since 2014 and the 16th in program history. The senior wraps up her career at OSU with a 36-10 all-time dual record.
