May 19, 2021 | Cowgirl Soccer
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Oklahoma State achieved its highest national ranking in the final United Soccer Coaches poll in a decade as the Cowgirls came in at No. 14 for the 2020-21 season.
The Cowgirls finished the '20-'21 campaign with a 13-3-2 record and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship for the third time in program history.
This marks the second consecutive year OSU has appeared in the final United Soccer Coaches poll; in 2019, the Cowgirls came in at No. 19 in the final rankings.
The ranking also marked OSU's highest in the final United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA) poll since the Cowgirls were No. 5 in 2011. It is the fourth-highest final ranking the Cowgirls have reached in the United Soccer Coaches poll in program history behind only the 2010 and 2011 squads that finished fifth and the 2008 team that came in at No. 13.
Additionally, OSU was ranked No. 12 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com postseason poll, which marked the second-straight year the Cowgirls have appeared in those final rankings; last year, they finished 13th in the final TDS.com poll.
