STILLWATER, Okla. – Competing solo in a pair of away meets separate from their Oklahoma State teammates, Gabby Hentemann raced a top-ten all-time Cowgirl pace in the women's 5,000 meters at the Oregon State High Performance Meet, while Ryan Smeeton finished runner-up in the men's 3,000 meter steeplechase and Sukhi Khosla posted a top-ten finish in the 5,000 meters at the Kansas City Qualifier.
In the OSU High Performance Meet, Hentemann competed well in the invitational section of the women's 5,000 meters. The freshman finished in eighth place in a time of 16:06.26 in the first 5,000-meter outdoor race of her college career. Her time ranks sixth all-time by a Cowgirl and currently leads the Big 12 this season.
At the Kansas City Qualifier, Khosla was the first Cowboy to compete from Charles Berkel Memorial Stadium on the campus of the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas.
The Cowboy distance veteran raced well among a tough field, clocking in at 14:49.17, which earned him the ninth-place finish in the field and fourth place among collegians. Khosla's pace for the event ranks fifth-fastest by a Cowboy this season.
