STILLWATER, OKLA.- Oklahoma State's women's tennis team dropped its match against UCF, 4-2, this afternoon at Greenwood Tennis Center. With the loss, the Cowgirls fell to 7-10 overall on the season.

Oklahoma State and Central Florida only competed in singles play.

Alana Wolfberg got the Pokes out in front initially, cruising to a, 6-2, 6-0 victory over UCF's Evgeniya Levashova. After OSU's fast start the Knights would take the next three points. After a hard-fought first set, Lenka Stara was defeated by Jaleesa Leslie, 7-6, 6-3.

UCF's Ksenia Kuznetsova went on to defeat Ayumi Miyamoto, 6-3, 7-6, and Bunyawi Thamchaiwat fell to Rebeka Stolmar, 7-5, 7-5, to give the Knights a 3-1 advantage.

Dariya Detkovskaya inched the Cowgirls closer, beating Marie Mattel, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. It all came down to court six where Daniella Medvedeva battled to a third set, but came up short against UCF's Nandini Sharma, 6-1, 5-7, 0-6.

The Cowgirls will be back in action at the Greenwood Tennis Center on Friday against West Virginia.
