Cowboys Move Into Second Place In Augusta

Day 1 Results
AUGUSTA, Ga. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team stands in second place at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational after Saturday's 36-hole day at Forest Hills Golf Club.
The Cowboys held the No. 3 spot following the morning round after posting a team total of 282. The afternoon session saw OSU rise into second place after turning in a 13-under 275 for a 557 tally. Pepperdine carded a 28-under total of 548 to lead at the par-72, 7,053-yard layout.
The Waves' Dylan Menante fired a 65 during his second round to stand at 12-under 132 and four shots clear of the field.
Cowboy freshman Bo Jin shot up the leaderboard in round two, firing a 65 of his own to climb 15 spots into a tie for third place at 137. After opening with a 72, Jin birdied four of his first five holes in the second round and added birdies at the ninth and 10th holes. He would go on to birdie Nos. 13, 15 and 17 for a bogey-free 32 on his second nine.
After opening with a 67, sophomore Eugenio Chacarra carded a 70 during his second round to join his teammate at 137.
Sophomore Aman Gupta followed an opening 71 with a 69, giving him a 140 total and tying him for 12th place.
Sophomore Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen posted scores of 73 and 71 to stand in a tie for 29th place at 144.
Freshman Jonas Baumgartner carded a pair of 72s to also finish the day tied for 29th place.
Of note, All-American Austin Eckroat competed this week at the PGA Tour's Valero Texas Open.
The Cowboys will begin their final round tomorrow at 9:25 (EST) and will be grouped with Pepperdine, Illinois and Notre Dame.
