Pokes Back on the Road for Baylor Invitational

THE BASICS
In the second of two meets in week four of Oklahoma State's outdoor track and field season, a number of OSU's athletes will head back to the Lonestar State to compete in the Baylor Invitational on April 3 at Clyde Hart Track and Field Stadium on the campus of Baylor University.

IN THE POLLS
In its first installment of the National Track & Field Rating Index, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) ranked the Cowgirls third in the Midwest Region, joining Big-12 foes No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 Kansas and No. 4 Kansas State in the top five. The Cowboys are currently ranked 13th in the Midwest Region.

LAST TIME OUT
In Oklahoma State's last outdoor track and field competition, the 93rd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays:
- A trio of cross country All-American Cowboys – Isai Rodriguez, Alex Maier and Victor Shitsama – dominated the men's 10,000 meters, taking the first, second and third-place finishes, respectively. Rodriguez earned the event win with ease as he finished more than 40 seconds ahead of the rest of the field on his way to setting a new facility record at Mike A. Myers Stadium (28:08.78).
- Freshman Cowgirls Sivan Auerbach and Stephanie Moss tabbed top-five finishes in the 1,500 meters; Auerbach took silver (4:23.94) and Moss was close behind for the bronze (4:24.57).
- Indoor All-American Ariadni Adamopoulou burst onto the outdoor scene, breaking the Cowgirls' outdoor pole vault record in the first outdoor competition of her career.

The Baylor Invitational is slated to open up with the men's hammer throw at 10 a.m. on April 3. Competition will continue throughout the day and end with the men's 4x400 meter relay at 5:35 p.m.
