Spring Preview: Wide Receivers
April 02, 2021 | Cowboy Football
Two-time All-American Tylan Wallace is gone to the NFL after an amazing career as a Cowboy, but as usual, the wide receiver room looks ready to reload.
Brennan Presley has many talking after earning ESPN and AP all-bowl team honors for his 118-yard, three-touchdown night in the final game of his true freshman year.
Senior Tay Martin has caught attention as well after putting up six catches for 73 yards in the bowl after serving as Wallace's backup in 2020.
The third Cowboy who could be poised for a breakout is senior speedster Braydon Johnson, who produced several big plays over the past three years and could be ready for more with the opportunity in front of him.
Langston Anderson, Rashod Owens, Matt Polk, Cale Cabbiness and Jonathan Shepherd are all back after seeing time on the depth chart in their careers, while true freshmen John Paul Richardson, Jaden Bray, Blaine Green and Bryson Green are enrolled early to participate in spring practice.
