Six Cowboy Wrestlers Named to Academic All-Big 12 Team

STILLWATER – Six Oklahoma State wrestlers claimed spots on the 2021 Academic All-Big 12 Wrestling Team, the conference office announced Thursday. Austin Harris and Dusty Hone highlight the list for the Pokes as first-teamers for the second consecutive year.
Daton Fix, Dakota Geer, Jalin Harper and Andrew Nieman claimed second-team accolades for the team. It marks Fix's second such Big 12 honor after earning his first bid in 2019. It is the first time receiving Academic All-Big 12 recognition for Geer, Harper and Nieman.
Second team selections are required to hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA. To qualify, student athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher, either cumulative or the previous two semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of the team's scheduled contests. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
