THE BASICS
In the midst of an unprecedented athletics season, an overlap of schedules situates Oklahoma State, along with the rest of the country, in a unique position: cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field will all take place within the same week. While some of Oklahoma State's athletes prepare to compete at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship, and others continue to train for the NCAA Cross Country Championship, OSU will send a select group of athletes to Austin, Texas to kick off the outdoor season at the Longhorn Invitational on March 6. The outdoor meet will be the first competition for OSU as a team in 650 days; the Pokes' last time out as a unit was the 2019 West Regional.

BACK ON THE SCENE
For Oklahoma State and the rest of the NCAA, the return to the outdoor track will be a highly anticipated one. Before this season, OSU last competition as a team was the 2019 West Regional, in which the athletes like Sinclaire Johnson and Hassan Abdi were at the forefront of Oklahoma State's presence. Now, nearly two years later, a new group of athletes will don the orange and black and represent Oklahoma State among an equally eager field of teams and individual athletes in the 2021 outdoor season.

MEET SCHEDULE (ALL TIME CT)
The Longhorn Invitational is slated to being at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the women's hammer throw and the men's 5,000 meters will close out action from Mike A. Myers Stadium on at 9:20 p.m. Saturday night.
