Middle Distance Cowgirls Shine in Texas Relays’ Finale

AUSTIN, Texas – In the third and final day of competition from Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas, the Oklahoma State capped off its time at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays with a strong showing in middle distance events.
A group of three Cowgirls, led by freshman Stephanie Moss, finished in the top 10 of the middle-distance race. Moss took the runner-up spot with a personal best 2:06.84. Joining Moss in the top 10 was Maddie Salek, who finished in sixth with a personal best of her own at 2:08.65, and Rilee Rigdon in 10th, who ran a 2:09.21 pace.
Running in the first outdoor competition of her collegiate career, indoor All-American Sivan Auerbach competed in the women's 800 meter invitational among professional athletes representing the Atlanta Track Club Elite and the Garden State Track Club. Auerbach took the seventh-place finish in a time of 2:06.44, a pace that ranks ninth all-time in school history.
For the Cowboys, veteran Garrett Calhoun and Australian freshman Alex Stitt both recorded personal bests on their way to top 25 finishes in the 800 meters.
The Pokes will return home after a solid outing at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays and look ahead to competing in Eugene, Oregon, at the Hayward Premiere on April 2 and the Baylor Invitational in Waco, Texas, on April 3.
