Adamopoulou Sets Outdoor Pole Vault Record in Texas Relays’ Second Day

AUSTIN, Texas – In the second day of competition from the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Oklahoma State was best represented by Ariadni Adampopoulou in the pole vault and the Cowgirl 4x100 meter relay unit.

Adamopoulou, the 2021 indoor All-American picked up right where she left off at the end of indoor competition. In the first outdoor meet of her career, the Athens, Greece-native posted an outdoor school-record mark of 4.16m, finishing the day in sixth overall.

In the 4x100 meter relay, Christina Ollison, Aaliyah Birmingham, Brooke Givens and Tori Ortiz combined for a 46.16 pace, earning the eight-place finish in the process.

Multis Cowgirls Bailey Golden and Maddie Meiner, taking on individual events this weekend, tied for seventh place with a 1.66m mark in the women's high jump.

The Pokes will take on the third and final day of competition from the 93rd annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays tomorrow, starting with the women's 800 meters at 2:50 p.m.
