THE BASICS
The Oklahoma State track and field team will take its third straight road trip to Lubbock, Texas to compete in the Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championship on February 26-27. Both the Cowgirls and Cowboys have managed to find great success despite the adversities presented by this unique college indoor track and field season. Each team is hoping to ride that momentum into the conference meet as the Cowgirls will compete to best their tied-sixth place finish at the meet a year ago and the Cowboys will look to improve upon their eighth-place team finish from last year's meet.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
In a year of unprecedented change and uncertainty for college athletics and for the world as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Oklahoma State track and field lost out on the opportunity to compete to the fullest extent. With a renewed fervor and a fully loaded lineup, OSU track and field will pick up right where it left off and take full advantage of every opportunity to represent Oklahoma State on the track and in the field.
LAST YEAR AT A GLANCE
The Oklahoma State men's and women's track and field teams are more than ready to return to the top of the Big 12 and go toe-to-toe with the best programs in the country after having their full season cut short. Highlighted by school-record setting performances in 2020 from All-American sprinter Aaliyah Birmingham, Grecian pole vaulter Ariadni Adamopolou and multis superstar Bailey Golden, the Cowgirls are primed to improve upon their tied-sixth team finish at the Big 12 Indoor Championships. The Cowboys return with a remarkable roster of talent ready to best its own eighth-place team finish at Big 12 Indoors. Senior Torrey Hickel, top-ten performer in the shot put in every meet from the 2020 indoor season, will anchor the Cowboys throws athletes. Multi-events athletes Jake Dyer and Will Edmonds, who became the fourth and fifth-best heptathlon performers in school history a year ago, will certainly continue to be valuable, point-scoring members of the Cowboys indoor squad in 2021.
