Cowboys Earn Runner-Up Finish At Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team carded its low round of the week on Sunday to finish in second place at the Seminole Intercollegiate at Golden Eagle Country Club.
The Cowboys used their 7-under 281 to leapfrog Oklahoma and Liberty in the team standings and finish second for the second time in five starts on the season. OSU finished at 17-under 847, while host Florida State won the event with its 26-under total of 838 at the par-72, 6,965-yard layout. The Sooners were third at 852.
Liberty's Alexandre Fuchs posted a closing 75 to hold onto medalist honors with an 11-under total of 205.
Coming off a runner-up showing in his last start, Eugenio Chacarra closed with a 68 to finish alone in third place at 8-under 208. Chacarra went out in even-par 36 with a front nine which included a pair of birdies. He opened his inward nine with a birdie at the 10th before posting birdies over three of his final four holes to get to 4-under par for the day.
Bo Jin carded his second career top 10, tying for eighth place. The freshman closed with a 74 to finish at 5-under 211.
Junior Austin Eckroat posted his low round of the event, finishing with a 3-under 69 to tie for 11th place at 213.
Freshman Brian Stark signed for a 73 to finish at 218 and tied for 29th place.
Senior Ferdinand Müller closed with a 71 to move into a tie for 44th place at 223.
The Cowboys will be back in action on March 1 when they travel to San Antonio to take part in the Cabo Collegiate.
