- The game stayed close throughout the half, but the Cowboys were able to take a 46-45 lead into the halftime break following back-to-back threes, one by Bryce Williams and one by Avery Anderson III with less than 3 seconds left in the first half.

Game Notes
- Two familiar scorers led the way for the Cowboys in Bryce Williams and Avery Anderson as the duo reached double-figures with both scoring 29. This marked the first time Oklahoma State had two 20-point scorers since Avery Anderson III and Cade Cunningham did it against Baylor in the Big 12 tournament last season on March 12, 2021.
- The two have also now scored in double-figures in four of each of their last five games.
- Bryce Williams recorded a career-high in points with his 29 and a career high in three-pointers made with 5.
- Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe and Kalib Boone also joined in on the scoring when both reached double figures with Moncrieffe scoring 11 and Boone with 13.
- The Oklahoma State 98-93 win made the all-time series with a 2-0 advantage for the Cowboys. In the first meeting, which took place in 1981, OSU came out on victorious 92-66.
- The win made OSU 13-12 when following back-to-back losses in the Mike Boynton era.
- Head Coach Mike Boynton went with the starting lineup of Avery Anderson III, Isaac Likekele, Bryce Williams, Donovan Williams and Kalib Boone
- The overtime victory also made Mike Boynton 8-1 in overtime games. It also marked the longest overtime win streak in school history with six straight wins when extra time is necessary.
