Game Flow

15 of Oakland's first 17 point were off second chance points, and Oklahoma State turnovers.
The Golden Grizzlies were able to take a 30-22 halftime lead powered by a 12-2 run after the midway point in the first half.
The Cowboys were able to open the half with a 15-4 run to take a 37-34 lead. This was their first lead since the nine-minute mark in the first half.
Oakland took a trip to the free throw line and was able to take the lead back with under a minute until Bryce Thompson hit a go-ahead floater with 33 seconds to play.
With eight seconds left Avery Anderson III fouled out of the game by running into a Oakland's Jalen Moore while attempting a three. Moore went onto make two of three at the line to give Oakland a 56-55.
OSU missed a potential game-winning shot at the buzzer to lose to the Golden Grizzlies by one.

Game Notes

Isaac Likekele fueled the Cowboy's run with eight quick points out of the half. Likekele scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half and also added nine rebounds and five assists for OSU.

Isaac Likekele tallied his 350th career assist to surpass Ronnie Daniel and Corey Williams in Oklahoma State's all-time leaders in career assists. This brought him to ninth in school history.
OSU was able to make a huge impact in the paint by scoring 40 of their 55 in the lane. They outscored the Golden Grizzlies 40-26 in the paint.
Avery Anderson III only logged 19 minutes of play due to foul trouble.
