Cowgirl Soccer Collects Academic Honors

IRVING, Texas - Eleven Oklahoma State student-athletes have been named to the 2021 Academic All-Big 12 Soccer Team, with nine of those earning first-team honors.

Highlighting the list are five Cowgirls who were nominated with a 4.0 grade point average — Mollie Breiner, Summer Chaffin, Megan Haines, Shyann McClary and Hannah Webb.

For Webb, 2021 marks the fourth time in her career she has earned Academic All-Big 12 First Team accolades.

Also earning spots on the Academic All-Big 12 First Team were Olyvia Dowell, Ally Jackson, Alex Morris and Grace Yochum.

Jackson and Yochum are both now three-time first-team honorees, while Dowell and Haines each earned the recognition for a second time.

Named to the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team for the second consecutive year were Cowgirl seniors Charmé Morgan and Kim Rodriguez.

The 2021 Academic All-Big 12 Soccer Team includes 132 honorees, with 28 holding 4.0 GPAs. The first team is comprised of 125 selections, with seven making up the second team.

First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA, while the second-team selections hold a 3.00-3.19 GPA.

To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
