Cowgirl Tennis Set For Action At The Norman Open Series

NORMAN, OKLA. - Six members of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team are competing this week at the Norman Open Series, including Ayumi Miyamoto, Mhai Sawangkaew, Oona Orpana, Martina Zerulo, Dariya Detkovskaya and Sofia Rojas. Â
The action began today with Sofia Rojas picking up a 6-0, 6-1 win to advance to tomorrow's qualifying finals.Â
Four Cowgirls will be in action tomorrow, starting with Dariya Detkovskaya facing Alexandra Pisareva and Sofia Rojas taking on Erika Wichin Cheng, each with the chance to earn their respective spot in the main draw.Â
In round one of the main draw, Oona Orpana will face Annabelle Xu and Martina Zerulo will take on Meera Jesudason.Â
Sofia Rojas will team up with Akilah James in doubles play and Oona Orpana and Martina Zerulo will finish the day off against Mercedes Ristegui and Helena Narmont.
