Oklahoma State Football Ranked in Top 20 of Final Polls

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team ranked in the top 20 in the final edition of both major polls released Tuesday, selected at No. 20 in the Associated Press Top 25 and No. 19 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
The Cowboys, who began the season ranked in both polls, were ranked in 14 of the 17 AP Top 25 polls released this year and received votes in every poll. It marks the fifth time in school history that OSU has been included in both the preseason and final AP polls in the same season, with each of those instances occurring in the past 10 years.
OSU closed the season with a 37-34 win over then-No. 18 Miami in the Cheez-It Bowl after finishing third in the Big 12 standings.
The Cowboys, who have now finished in the top three of the Big 12 standings in eight of the 10 seasons since the conference moved to a full round-robin schedule, finished the year with an 8-3 record that included four wins over teams who received votes in the final polls.
This marks the eight time in the Mike Gundy era and the 15th time in school history that OSU has finished in the AP Top 25.
