WATCH: Hubbard meets the media
STILLWATER – Heisman Trophy candidate Chuba Hubbard returned to Oklahoma State after forgoing the NFL draft not to solidify his legacy among the Cowboy greats, but to accomplish the goals his team has set.
"It's a big year for our team, I wouldn't say it's just a big year for me," Hubbard said. "I didn't come back to break records for myself. I came back to win a Big 12 championship and a national championship with my team."
A unanimous All-American after leading the nation in rushing a year ago, Hubbard is ready to shine once again for the Cowboys.
"I feel great," Hubbard said. "I'm bigger, stronger, faster and I fixed a lot of things that I needed to work on, so I feel good going into this season."
After an offseason unlike any other, Hubbard is ready to let his game do the talking on the field.
"From our team I know a lot of us just want to play," Hubbard said. "That's the biggest thing for us. It's been a long time since we missed spring ball and only got a little bit of work in the summer time. Now that the game got pushed back a week I know people are itching to play."
Oklahoma State's season opener against Tulsa was postponed one week and will now take place on Sept. 19 with a time to be determined.
