Cowgirl Soccer’s Dowell Collects Big 12 Honor

IRVING, Texas — For the second consecutive week, Oklahoma State brought home Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors as Olyvia Dowell captured the award following her performance against West Virginia.
A sophomore forward, Dowell scored the golden goal with just 26 seconds remaining in the second overtime to lift the Cowgirls to a 2-1 win over the No. 4 Mountaineers. The victory tied the mark for the highest-ranked team OSU has defeated in program history.
Dowell played all 109:34 in the match and recorded a pair of shots, with the goal marking her second of the season.
Dowell's performance also earned her a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer.com Women's Team of the Week.
Dowell joined Grace Yochum (Sept. 22) as Cowgirls to earn Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week accolades this season. That duo will lead OSU back into action Friday at Baylor.
