Cowboys Set To Begin Big 12 Fall Series

FT. WORTH, Texas — Oklahoma State's men's golf team will begin its fall slate this week with the first of three events in the Big 12 Fall Series when the Cowboys begin play at the Colonial Collegiate Invitational at Colonial Country Club.
The event will get underway on Monday with 36 holes and will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday at the par-70, 7,204-yard layout. The event will utilize a 6-count-5 format with each team sending out a pair of threesomes.
Additionally, the event will be used to seed the Big 12 Match Play Tournament, which will get underway on Oct. 2 at Houston Oaks in Hockley, Texas.
The Cowboy lineup for this week will include junior Austin Eckroat, a second-team All-America selection a year ago, sophomore Eugenio Chacarra, a transfer from Wake Forest, and sophomore Aman Gupta, a semifinalist at this year's U.S. Amateur.
Additionally, sophomore Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen, a finalist at this summer's Western Amateur, and freshmen Bo Jin and Brian Stark will round out the starters for OSU.
Freshman Jonas Baumgartner will make the trip as well with the potential to make his Cowboy debut.
