Oklahoma State Cross Country Gears Up For Unique 2020 Season

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State cross country is set to compete in an abbreviated but action-packed fall schedule. The Cowboys and the Cowgirls will compete in a pair of home meets before the Big 12 Championship and NCAA postseason.
To open the 2020 season, OSU will host the 82nd annual Cowboy Jamboree on October 3. The race will offer Oklahoma State its first chance since the 2019 NCAA Midwest Regional to boast its newly renovated, state-of-the-art course.
The Pokes will then get right back to work to compete in the OSU Invitational on October 17. Oklahoma State will invite competing teams back to Stillwater for the race.
OSU will conclude its fall season with the Big 12 Championship on October 31 in Lawrence, Kansas. The Cowgirls will attempt to secure back-to-back Big 12 titles for the first time in program history, while the Cowboys will compete to best their own runner-up finish from a year ago.
As for the NCAA postseason, the tentative schedule includes a Pre-Nationals Invitational Race on February 6 at a location to be determined and announced at a later date. The NCAA Championships, as of now, are set for March 15; Oklahoma State maintains its role as the host of the championship races and the postponement of the event will not affect OSU's eligibility to host the NCAA Championships again in the near future.
