Austin Eckroat Earns All-Region Honors

NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma State's Austin Eckroat received all-region recognition this week with the announcement of the Division I PING All-Region teams by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Eckroat, a junior from Edmond, Okla., was named to the All-Central Region squad and marks the third time during his career he has received the distinction. As a freshman, Eckroat was named to the squad en route to earning honorable mention All-America status. Last year, he picked up the recognition on the way to third-team All-America honors.
This past season, Eckroat competed in seven stroke-play events for the Cowboys, finishing inside the top 20 six times. In addition to a sixth-place showing at the East Lake Cup, he posted a runner-up showing at The Prestige after closing with a final round of 64.
Eckroat finished the year ranked 21st in the Golfstat rankings and No. 19 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings.
