Cowgirl Soccer Offense Shines Again In Second Game Of Spring

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State cruised to another spring exhibition win Saturday as the Cowgirls defeated Central Oklahoma, 7-0, at Neal Patterson Stadium.
The Cowgirls are now 2-0 on the spring and have outscored their two opponents by a 15-2 margin.
Olyvia Dowell and Megan Haines tallied two goals for OSU, while Hannah Webb, Grace Yochum and Megan Haines also found the back of the net. Hannah Warner and Maleah Milner combined for the shutout in goal.
Dowell put the Cowgirls up 1-0 just over four minutes into the match, and a penalty kick by Yochum doubled the lead. OSU added two more goals before intermission, with Ledford notching her first of the day off an assist from Dowell before Haines converted a penalty kick with just 23 seconds remaining.
Leading 4-0 entering the second half, OSU saw its scoring once again started by Dowell as she scored off an assist from Haines. Webb made the score 6-0 when she found the side netting from the right side of the box on a double assist from Dowell and Julia Lenhardt.
The Cowgirls' final goal came with just over a minute remaining as Ledford delivered a one-touch blast to the back post off a double assist from Ariel Esposito and Haines.
OSU returns to spring action March 28 when the Cowgirls host Oral Roberts.
