Postgame Notes
• Oklahoma State ended the regular season having won seven of its last 10 games overall following an 0-9 start to Big 12 play. Since Feb. 5, OSU's only losses came on the road at teams ranked 12th or better in KenPom.
• With the win, Cowboy senior captains Lindy Waters III, Thomas Dziagwa and Cameron McGriff joined 2018 seniors Jeffrey Carroll and Mitchell Solomon as the only OSU players to win in every Big 12 road venue. Prior to Solomon and Carroll, the last Cowboys to win in every conference road venue over the course of their careers were the senior class of 1954 (Bob Mattick, Tom Fuller and Dale Roark).
• Oklahoma State will be the No. 8 seed at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship in Kansas City and will face No. 9 Iowa State the opening round of the Big 12 Championship. Tipoff will be at 6 p.m. CT on ESPNU. The Cowboys, who took down Iowa State 73-61 on Feb. 29 in Stillwater, are 12-2 all-time in the first round of the Big 12 Championship.
• The Cowboys established new highs for field goals made and field goal percentage in today's game. OSU hit 31 shots on 66 percent shooting.
• Head coach Mike Boynton is now 8-4 in the month of March, including a 2-0 mark in 2020, and today's win at Texas gives the Cowboys seven wins away from Gallagher-Iba Arena this season – tops in the Boynton era.
• The Cowboys won in the Erwin Center for the first time since 2015, snapping a four-game skid in Austin. Texas still leads the overall series, 52-45, including a 31-14 edge in Austin.Â
