LAWRENCE, Kan. — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team suffered a 77-69 loss to the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday night in front of 2,471 fans inside Allen Fieldhouse.
Kansas jumped out to a 27-11 lead in the first quarter and OSU never recovered. In the period, the Jayhawks shot 61 percent from the floor, including a 4-of-5 effort from the 3-point line.
KU would take a 43-26 lead at the break.
In the fourth, OSU would make it interesting, using a 7-0 run to cut the deficit to 62-51 with six minutes remaining. Junior Vivian Gray would pull the Cowgirls within seven with three minutes remaining, but OSU could get no closer.
Gray scored 23 of her game-high 29 points in the second half for OSU. Sixteen of those points came on a 6-of-8 effort in the fourth quarter.
Junior Natasha Mack added 24 points and a game-high 15 rebounds as well as six blocks for the Cowgirls.
