Gray accounted for seven points in the third quarter to keep OSU within striking distance heading into the final 10 minutes with the Cowgirls trailing 41-39.
OSU attacked the paint in the final quarter and took advantage of and-1 opportunities, knocking down clutch free throws in the closing minutes. The Cowgirls trailed almost the entire fourth quarter before momentum began to shift after a Natasha Mack block with 2:12 left in the game that led to a Clitan de Sousa and-1 to bring OSU within 2.
After a Mack and-1 brought the game within one, the Cowgirls took the lead after another Natasha Mack block with :30 seconds left, which led to a Ja'Mee Asberry and-1 to take a 58-56 lead with 23.6 seconds left. The Cowgirls locked down the Mountaineers in the final seconds to secure the 60-57 win.
