FORT WORTH, Texas — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team never got on track offensively in its 49-37 loss at TCU on Sunday afternoon.

The Cowgirls hit just three of their 15 shots in the first quarter, but stayed in the contest behind a strong defensive performance. OSU trailed 17-10 after the first 10 minutes.

TCU extended to a 22-10 lead in the second behind a 12-0 run before taking a 27-18 lead at the break.

With four minutes remaining in the third, sophomore Bryn Gerlich drilled a 3-pointer for OSU to cut its deficit to six at 31-25. Juniors Vivian Gray and Natasha Mack connected on consecutive possessions to trim the margin to four with one minute remaining in the period.

However, the Horned Frogs limited OSU to just six points in the fourth to pull away and sweep the season series.

Mack finished with 14 points, 18 rebounds and five blocks to lead OSU, while Gray added 13 points to go with six rebounds.

The Cowgirls will be back in action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. when they host Texas Tech.
