STILLWATER – Former Oklahoma State football player Philip Redwine-Bryant has been selected by the Big 12 as one of two student-athletes to represent the conference at the 2020 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum.
Redwine-Bryant, along with Kansas State women's basketball player Ayoka Lee, will attend the event, which is scheduled for April 16-19 in Los Angeles, Calif.
The Student-Athlete Leadership Forum was established in 1997 to serve as a life-changing experience that provides both personal and professional growth for student-athletes, coaches and administrators.
Each conference selects two student athletes to attend, who then go to the four-day event to enhance leadership capabilities that allow them to thrive personally, professionally and athletically. Attendees interact with other NCAA athletes, coaches and administrators from across the country.
Redwine-Bryant was a senior linebacker on OSU's football team during the 2019 season, and already has a long list of accolades to his credit. In addition to being selected for this event, he was OSU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Vice President, OSU's "Big 12 Champions for Life" team representative and was voted a team captain by his teammates in both 2018 and 2019.
On the field, Redwine-Bryant earned OSU's Walk-On Award in 2018 and was named OSU's Outstanding Special Teams Player in 2019. In his final season, he led the team in tackles on kickoff returns and punt returns to help OSU's coverage unit rank among the best in the nation.
Additionally, Redwine-Bryant served as a game captain on five occasions during his final two seasons in Stillwater. He is also a part of OSU's track and field team this spring.
