Ogbongbemiga Receives Defensive Player of the Week Honors

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week Monday, as well as the Pro Football Focus National College Defensive MVP of the Week, for his performance at TCU.
Ogbongbemiga set an OSU single game record and matched a Big 12 single game record with three forced fumbles against the Horned Frogs. He recovered two of his own forced fumbles in the fourth quarter to help give the Cowboy offense chances to score in the one-possession game. The other forced fumble was recovered by an OSU teammate to give Ogbongbemiga three forced turnovers in the game. All three came in the game's final 18:30.
It marked the most forced fumbles by any FBS player in a game this season and was one short the NCAA FBS single game record of four. The redshirt senior finished as the game's leader in total tackles (12) and solo tackles (9).
The honor marks the first Big 12 weekly honor of the season for Ogbongbemiga and the second of his career. It is the eighth conference player of the week honor for Oklahoma State this season.
