Cowgirls Knock Off North Texas Behind Career Night From Natasha Mack

DENTON, Texas — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team improved to 6-2 on the year with an 82-68 win over North Texas on Tuesday night inside The Super Pit.
The Cowgirls rode a career night from Natasha Mack, who finished with 31 points to go with 14 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.
North Texas grabbed momentum early, scoring 23 points in the first quarter, but Mack kept the Cowgirls within striking distance with eight points in the frame.
In the second, OSU outscored the Mean Green 21-8 after shooting 69 percent, including a 5-of-5 effort from Mack. The senior scored 10 points in the quarter and the Cowgirls grabbed a 38-31 lead.
OSU pushed the margin to double figures at 45-35 nearly midway through the third quarter before UNT drew within three two minutes later. The Cowgirls would build back to a 56-49 advantage through three quarters.
Mack would again take over in the fourth, hitting six of her eight shots from the floor and scoring all 13 of her points in the half as OSU exploded for 26 points in the period to lock up its second road win of the season.
Freshman Lexy Keys finished with eight assists in the contest, while sophomore Lauren Fields scored 11 points on a 5-of-7 shooting effort. Junior Kassidy De Lapp hit all five of her shots from the floor en route to 11 points of her own.
OSU will resume conference play on Jan. 2 when Texas Tech comes to town for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
