Austin Eckroat Named To Haskins Watch List

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's Austin Eckroat was one of 20 players named to the Haskins Award Watch List it was announced today.
A junior from Edmond, Okla., Eckroat currently ranks 19th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and No. 21 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Ranking. A three-time All-American, Eckroat posted a 2-1-1 mark at the Big 12 Match Play Tournament and closed the fall season with a runner-up showing at the Maridoe Collegiate Inviational where he helped the Cowboys to their first team title of the year.
Celebrating its 50th year, the Fred Haskins Award has been given to players who have captured 31 major championships and more than 400 professional tournaments around the world.
The Haskins Award is the oldest individual college golf award and the only award to be voted on by players, coaches, golf sports information directors and select golf media.
