The Basics
The Oklahoma State football team (5-1 overall; 4-1 Big 12) travels to Norman to face Oklahoma (5-2 overall; 4-2 Big 12) at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

On the Air
The game will be televised by ABC with Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Holly Rowe on the call. The contest will also be carried live on the Cowboy Radio Network, with Dave Hunziker handling play-by-play, John Holcomb providing analysis and Robert Allen reporting from the sideline. Fans outside of the Cowboy Radio Network can listen to the OSU broadcast for free through TuneIn Radio or the TuneIn Radio app.

In the Rankings
OSU is No. 14 in both the Associated Press and the Amway Coaches Polls. Including 2020, OSU has reached the top 15 of the AP poll at some point in 11 of the past 13 seasons. OSU has also seen a top 10 ranking in the AP poll at some point in nine of those 13 years. OSU is the highest ranked Big 12 team, followed by No. 17 Iowa State, No. 18 Oklahoma and No. 22 Texas in the AP poll. Although the College Football Playoff rankings won't be released until later in the year, it is worth noting that OSU has appeared in the CFP rankings four of the past five seasons entering 2020. In addition to its No. 18 spot in the AP poll, Oklahoma is also ranked No. 17 in the coaches poll.

The Series
Saturday's game is part of the all-sports Phillips 66 Bedlam Series between Oklahoma State and Oklahoma. The Phillips 66 Bedlam Series is calculated by straight wins and losses in head-to-head competition. In sports where there is no head-to-head matchup, the Big 12 Championship final standings are used. Oklahoma State has won the overall Phillips 66 Bedlam Series in six of the past seven years and holds a 3-0 lead so far this season. A look at this year's results to date:

Saturday's game marks the 115th football meeting between Oklahoma State and Oklahoma in a series that dates back to 1904. The 2020 season also marks the 111th consecutive year the teams have met, with OU owning an 88-19-7 all-time advantage and a 42-10-2 advantage in games played in Norman. Coach Mike Gundy is 2-13 in his career against Oklahoma, while OU coach Lincoln Riley is 3-0 against the Cowboys.

Oklahoma State from a Distance
Oklahoma State is 5-1 overall on the season and is one of two Big 12 schools with just one conference defeat, with Iowa State being the other. The Cowboys escaped Manhattan, Kansas with a 20-18 win over Kansas State in their last game, led by another great performance from the OSU defense. OSU was faced with a long list of injuries in the game, but powered through to stay on top of the league and get to last week's open date. OSU's defense has held its first six opponents to a combined total of 107 points, which marks the fewest points allowed in the first six games of a season during Mike Gundy's tenure as head coach (2005-present). Allowing only 17.8 points per game this season, OSU ranks 15th nationally in scoring defense. The Cowboys have held their opponents to a combined total of 21-for-90 on third down attempts for an FBS No. 4 conversion rate of 23.3 percent. The OSU defense is also among the national leaders in passing yards allowed (No. 7), sacks (No. 8), tackles for loss (No. 12), passing efficiency defense (No. 13), defensive touchdowns (No. 12) and total defense (No. 16). On offense, the Cowboys rank among the top three in the Big 12 in rushing offense, passing efficiency, completion percentage and red zone offense. Wide receiver Tylan Wallace and running back Chuba Hubbard have accounted for 1,221 of OSU's 2,466 scrimmage yards this season (49.5 percent) and are the FBS active career leaders in receiving yards and rushing yards per game, respectively. Kicker Alex Hale is performing at a Lou Groza Award level, as he ranks No. 1 in the FBS at 2.17 made field goals per game and at 13-for-14 on the year, is one of only two Power Five kickers with a minimum of 10 field goals attempted to be converting at a rate of 90 percent or better. Punter Tom Hutton is coming off a performance last game against K-State in which was named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week.
