Cowgirl Soccer’s Simon Named Big 12’s Best

IRVING, Texas — For the third consecutive week, Oklahoma State has a player on the list of Big 12 Conference weekly award winners as Kionna Simon was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week following her performance at Baylor.

Simon played all 110 minutes at defender against Baylor and helped anchor a defense that limited the Bears to just six shots on goal while recording OSU's second shutout of the season.

A native of Denton, Texas, Simon has started every game at defender for the Cowgirls in 2020.

Simon joins Grace Yochum (Sept. 22) and Olyvia Dowell (Sept. 29) as Cowgirls to earn Big 12 weekly awards this season; both Yochum and Dowell claimed Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors.
