Cowboys Emerge Victorious In Fall Finale

CARROLLTON, Texas – Oklahoma State's men's golf team wrapped up the Big 12 Fall Series with its first win of the season at the Maridoe Collegiate Invitational, earning a three-shot victory on Tuesday at Maridoe Golf Club.
The Cowboys closed the event with their second consecutive even-par round of 288 to finish at 16-over 880. Pepperdine was second at 883, while Oklahoma posted an 888 total to finish in third at the par-72, 7,521-yard layout.
Austin Eckroat was one of two Cowboys to finish inside the top five. The junior posted a closing 72 to finish at even-par 216 and tied for second place with Pepperdine's Dylan Menante. Texas Tech's Kyle Hogan won the event with his 215 tally.
For Eckroat, the runner-up showing was the second of his Cowboy career. A two-time winner during his collegiate career, he finished second last spring at The Prestige as well.
Bo Jin posted a 70 during his closing round to move into a tie for fourth place at 218. The freshman posted a 3-under 33 on his outward nine after carding birdies at the second, seventh and ninth. He countered a bogey at the 10th with a birdie one hole later. He posted a bogey at the 18th to finish at 2-under for the day.
Freshman Brian Stark carded a closing 74 to finish in a tie for 17th place at 223.
Sophomore Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen wrapped up play with a 77 to finish at 228 and tied for 37th place.
Sophomore Eugenio Chacarra fired his low round of the event with a 72 to get in with a 230 total and tied for 40th place.
A pair of Cowboys competed individually with freshman Jonas Baumgartner tying for 37thplace at 228 after closing with a 75 and freshman Dillon Stewart posting an 82 during his final round to finish at 236 and tied for 55th.
