Cowboy Baseball Picked Second In Preseason Big 12 Poll

IRVING, Texas — Oklahoma State was selected to finish second in the 2020 Big 12 standings in a vote of the conference's head coaches.
The Cowboys are coming off a 2019 season in which they were third in the league with a 14-9 mark. In its seven previous seasons under head coach Josh Holliday, OSU won its first-ever Big 12 regular season championship in 2014 and finished second in the league race on four occasions.
Defending regular season champion Texas Tech topped this year's preseason poll and received six first-place votes. Following the Cowboys and rounding out the top five were TCU, who received a first-place vote, Oklahoma and Texas, who also drew one first-place nod.
Baylor, West Virginia, Kansas State and Kansas rounded out the poll, with West Virginia also garnering a first-place vote.
