STILLWATER – For more than 12,000 seats available to the general public in Boone Pickens Stadium, season ticket prices will be decreased leading up to the 2020 Oklahoma State football season. Those changes take effect in sections on the 100 level, the 200 level and the 300 level, so they affect a variety of price points.
In addition to the reduced prices, four new sections are available to the general public to purchase season tickets and they are all in desirable locations. Section 330 is on the north side of the stadium between the 20 and 40 yard lines and sections 215, 216 and 217 are in the west end zone and have some of the best views of the game action and stadium video board.
Significant price decreases for season tickets will come in sections 224 and 226 on the north side of the stadium, where the price will be reduced by 13 percent from 2019. Those seats are in desirable locations between the 20 and 40 yard lines. Those aren't the only good seats that are becoming more affordable, as 50-yard line seats on both the north and south sides are coming down in price as well. Sections 305 and 306 on the south side are decreasing by 10 percent, section 331 on the north side is coming down by seven percent and section 225 on the north side features a slight one percent change.
The largest price reduction comes in section 120 in the northeast corner of the stadium, where prices will drop 25 percent from 2019. Section 227 on the north side and section 101 in the southeast corner will come down 15 percent.
There are 13,421 season tickets available for less than $500 for a 2020 campaign in which the Cowboys host Oregon State, Western Illinois, Tulsa, Iowa State, Texas Tech, West Virginia and Texas. If fans purchase four or more season tickets, then the number of season tickets available for less than $500 increases to more than 21,500, as there are several sections in which fans receive a $100 discount for purchasing four or more season tickets.
With this year's pricing, the cost of an entry-level season ticket decreases to $375 and for those who purchase four or more season tickets, the cost drops to $275.
A new policy being implemented is that 2020-21 academic year Pistol Pete's Partners members that are two years old or younger on August 1, 2020 will be admitted for free, provided a seat is not desired for the child.
This is the latest in a multi-year effort to improve to the game day experience for OSU fans. Other recent improvements included the installation of one of the largest video boards in all of college football, the implementation of beer sales, the widening of seats in some of the tightest sections in the stadium, and the improvement of food options, among several other upgrades.
There are some high-demand sections that will see price increases, most of which are on the south side of the stadium.
