Rodriguez Tabbed Preseason All-Big 12

IRVING, Texas — Oklahoma State's Kim Rodriguez has been selected to the 2019 Preseason All-Big 12 Conference Soccer Team in a vote of the league's head coaches.
Rodriguez was one of five defenders named to the preseason all-conference team. A junior for the Cowgirls, the Porter, Texas native is coming off a season in which she was named an All-Big 12 Second Team defender and earned United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region honors.
OSU's team leader with over 1,600 minutes played last season, Rodriguez tied for the team's leading scorer as she tallied 14 points on four goals and six assists. Three of her goals came via penalty kick, while her six assists ranked as the seventh most in the Big 12 Conference. She also led the Cowgirls with 41 corner kicks, and 12 of her 20 shots were on goal
A member of the Mexico National Team, Rodriguez earned her first caps at the 2019 Cyprus Women's Cup earlier this year and is currently playing for Mexico in the 2019 Pan American Games.
